Weihnachtsschmuck, aussehend wie angemalte Sauerkrautstreifen, silber-oder goldfarben

Lametta soll Eiszapfen symbolisieren. Das erste Lametta war aus silberstreifen und wurde 1878 in Nürnberg hergestellt.

Traditionell aus Stanniolstreifen gefertigt, geschmolzen, gegossen, gewalzt, aus Zinn und Blei, auch aus Alumniumstreifen oder Kunststoff.

Ein bekannter Hersteller war die Eppsteiner Stanniolfabrik;  die Produktion wurde 2013 eingestellt.

aber auch die Bezeichnung, wenn jemand eine ordensgeschmückte Uniform hat.

Getrennt “La Metta” , Met , ein alkoholisches Getränk, eine Hackfleischverarbeitung, das Mett, wie auch bei der Mettwurst

Mit einem e statt a, wäre es ein weiblicher Vorname

In Metta Sutta, einer Lehrrede Buddhas, beschreibt dieser darin die Liebe einer Mutter zu ihrem Kind. Ziel ist es,  die liebende Güte auf alle Menschen auszuweiten.

Metta ist im Teravada Buddhismus eine der 10 transzendenten Tugenden.

Würden die Menschen sich auf solche Bedeutungen beim Anblick von Lametta am Weihnachtsbaum besinnen, gäbe es keine Kriege und Konflikte

Weihnachten wäre dann in jeder Hinsicht ein Fest des Friedens
